Like ships in the night we travel past each other, as the waves crash against the sides of our hull. Through torrential rains and violent storms, we cast our sails in deadened night. Hoping that when morning comes, darkened clouds are no more.
We pray that the storm have passed, that the ocean becomes calm and eased. We pray that our path home be without peril, that the tides flow in our favor. For we know that like older ships in the night, our adventures soon will dwindle. Our sails will become torn and tattered, our hull will slowly decay.
What time we have before our fate is sealed, is best spent on another journey. Do not wait until you cannot sail no more, do not wait until tomorrow. Set forth and chose your path, set your sails to the morning winds. Let God guide your ship once more, let your light within never dim.
