Exploring Life

Cherishing the moments
That need which yearns to be filled

The need to escape, to explore, to be set free grows within us all. Especially when the madness of society is beating at our door and we find ourselves yearning desperately to be released from it all.

For some i† is merely a weekend trip, or an adventure which may span weeks or months, for others it is a way of life. The great outdoor beckons us into its bosom, as it silently calls our name.  It is a feeling that one cannot easily define. If I had to put it into words, I would humbly say it is an inner state of peace. A sense of serenity, and a sensation that brings calm and joy into the deepest reaches of our soul.

It heals us and makes us whole.

“Do not wait until you have grown so old, that you cannot hike, explore, or climb a mountain.”

– George Mercado

The Search for Serenity (2021) Pt #1

“FINDING GOD!.”

For 2 months my life was hell, I lost close friends and I was in a dark place. This hike was tough for my aging body as I was tired, exhausted, had altitude sickness and was extremely depressed. Yet I pushed on to beat my demons, to find my burning bush, and to show my young son a lesson. That was that no matter what life throws at you, you can overcome and reap the rewards of your hard work.

“Phantom Canyon Rd.”

Fahad and I traversed the Phantom Canyon rd, in search of history and beauty, in seach of something far more beautiful than we ever imagined.

The Search for Serenity (2021) Pt #3

“MOAB.”

There is no greater beauty than finding your place in serenity, among all that God has created. Where few seldom go, where many would not travel to, for there is where you will find your peace.

Florida Everglades (2019)

“Remenising old friends and projects that are no more”

As I always say that the past is the past, if it were meant to be the future. It surely would not be the past, so we let go of it.  This video is to remind me of someone I loved dearly, that is no longer a friend.

Colorado (2019)

I visited the mountains of Colorado with my great friend, James David Bennet. It was the start of my traveling adventures with him and others.

Big Cypress Preserve (2017)

“Old Memories never fade”

It is good to look back at what once was, but never to dwell upon it. For looking back reminds of the places we have been, the paths we have taken, and the people we once knew.  It humbles us and reminds us of the growth we have undertaken.

Florida (2016)

“Fish Eating Creek”

Great friends camping in the backcountry of Fish Eating Creek, those good old days. I keep this video in my archive as all parties involved love looking back on them.
